It's quite different to the types of music I'd normally listen to, but when it's this interesting, creative, and well-put-together, why limit yourself because of arbitrary ideas about genre? "Endogenic Noise Records is happy to welcome our good friend, and Crunkcore/Scenecore artist, Kuma, AKA... back to the label with a very, very special release: "CUTE [in the dark]"!

Originally released in 2020, CUTE [in the dark] is the very first EP from Kuma, which originally consisted of 4 incredible tracks of Crunkcore, Scenecore and Trancecore. It went on to be our label owner Yuki's favourite album of that year and, even today, remains among his personal all-time favourites.

And now, 4 years later, after becoming good friends with Kuma and working with her for quite some time, we are honoured to be able to re-release it here for you all to enjoy!

The 4 original tracks are all here and present and, as a bonus, we've also included 2 new tracks as well! There's even updated artwork to honour the new version of the EP, and we think it's quite the upgrade!

As for what's on offer here, we've got some new age Crunkcore with elements of Scenecore, Scene Pop, Trancecore and even some Noise! This is what we personally refer to as "Post-Crunkcore"! It's MySpace era Scene music, but with a modern twist, incorporating aesthetics from other genres to create something both new and familiar.

Each track here is part of an emotional journey. It's a very personal record that reflects the many parts of Kuma's life. It's fun, it's energetic, it's catchy, it's upbeat, but it's also sometimes melancholic, introspective and emotionally devastating.

Music like this is why we started this label to begin with. This is what the underground is, and should be, all about.

Trust us when we say it: There's nothing else in the scene quite like this. Prepare to get blown away by some of the best music you'll ever hear.
